Oh ok, I didn't know that yesterday was the worst day in Wall Street in 10 years. So I went to the bank and invested all my money in a retirement plan. LOL

As a result today my account has earned a 5% net in a few hours when the market rebounded. LOL If this happened for the rest of the year I would get a 1800% growth. LOL

My god, investing is fun, I hope I don't get addicted to it!!!

This is not happening. I am shuffling channels and the governmnt TV channel, TQS, is passing PORN. I mean, people are naked and going at it like bunnies in all positions. This is no plot, random PORN.

A book that may change my life

I started reading last night The fountainhead by Ayn Rand. I was curious of a comment I read about it totally unrelated to this post.

After reading thousands of books I am afraid and sure that this book may change the course of my life. And I am only 90 pages into it.

I read an prologue by the author that made cry in shame. Honestly it never had happened before with anything I have read. I know for sure I betrayed my soul by choosing my profession. If anyone have read this book, then you will know what I am talking about.

It is so weird but I am exactly in personality as Howard Roark. I am shocked to recognize my personality exactly, exactly as this male character. But my choices were those of his enemy.

I need to stop now I am just torturing myself with what I am trying to do. I am talking about of forcing myself in the accountant career. I am not sure though if it is for lack of integrity as Ms Rand would think. Just lack of self esteem. Or knowing what would come as in following what I really like would lead to destitution. Not sure how much that matters anyway.

Hi everyone, I hope you had a great Xmas and a happy new year. I wish you all all the best for this 2009.

I was abroad in Ecuador for a while, with family, also spent a day or so in Miami and it was fabulous.   I am back in Montrael, crazy at school, really cannot catch up, I am seriously toying with the possibility of dropping, it is too boring and tough.

This week I also had time to fail my driving test for getting my licence. Damn. First time I fail a test ever.  In a way it was a relief I didn't take it badly. It was interesting.

Anyway, it is peeling cold.   I just walked 3 km to my university and back to work and although I was well covered, I had two pants on, I feel that I burned the skin of my legs horribly.   It hurts a lot.   It is minus 35 C outside. Funny I wasn't cold during the walk.

Did you hear about that pilot and the plane in New York that landed in the Hudson River, Wow, only in NY.   It was like something John McClain would do. LOL   Very exciting!

In fandom news I am totally entrapped by the Twilight series in a way Harry Potter never achieved.    With HP I was fascinated by the semantic, mythic possiblities in the romance.  It was a very brainy fandom for me. With Twilight I am fascinated in almost a physical way.   Why nobody told me about this fandom???   I discovered the story when friends took me to watch the movie.  I love a lot Edward. I am crazy about passionate characters.

Social life is good for a change. I had three different people inviting me this Friday (all non romantic outings with is so much better than dates).    I am so sad I had to give up an invitation to have dinner with my art teacher, Erik and his friends. :(   But Keno had invited me not ten minutes before.   Well sigh.

In school things are terrible.   A whole whole lot to study this weekend.   I am a little queasy I won't get my B-.

PS I sold my first two items on Ebay.   Some old books and a painting on paper. Got 80 bucks which is not bad.

I saw McCain speech. It was first rate and beautiful. You guys have lost someone would would have been a remarkable president. A real hero. What a sad thing. I am sure any country would have been proud of such a president.

It is 141 to 207 so far so Obama is practically the new president at 11 pm.

Here something scary that just happened here. I was watching at the same time the series The Tudors. In tonight's episode, Sir Thomas More was beheaded.

The funny thing is this: More is the Saint Patron of politicians. Is this a coincidence or the person in charge of airing the Tudors has a perverse and subtle sense of humor?????

I hope it is the latter, otherwise, this is the kind of signs that scare the hell out of me. Not that it would surprise me at all. I am very afraid of the next four years. I am happy I live in Canada. And even happier that anything bad happens, God forbid, I may return back to Ecuador.

This morningn a McCain surrogate mentioned Obama's use of marijuana and cocaine during youth. This made junkies and potheads very angry and as a result McCain may lose a great percentage of the addict voter.
Let us remember that in the primaries advisers to Clinton were fired for saying that his drug use would be used in the final days of the presidential race. The nerve!!!

Really my dear America, is this political correctness? So drug use is Ok? In my country someone confessing to use of cocain would receive up to 14 years of prison. In the US, those are candidates for the presidency.

Did you guys see it?   What do you think? I am talking about the skit that trashed the press about their negativity against Palin and then went so far on the other side as to make fun of the same press by suggesting they would write about Todd Palin having a incestous relationship with his daughters.

I think whatever the intention of the skit was, they have done some irreparable damage to the kids and Todd Palin. Extremely disgusting thing to say on national TV, even if they hid it by trying to pass it as an accusation to the media.

I can only imagine what scandal and ripping of clothes it would have been if that was made against Obama and his daughters.

Economic peril

I just want to say that I am extremely dissapointed with McCain manage of the economy present problem. I am just as much with Obama's.
Obviously neither of them have a clue on economy or financial markets. And suprisingly enough, neither do their staff.

They both should have known the Wall Street problems at least one week ago.   Especially McCain having Bush as friend.

Why neither Obama or McCain asked for a ban on short-selling stock??    Why didn't they come up with a plan to review all the principal companies on the market to see how bad is the debt and their real liquidity and losses for the next quarter so the goverment can devise a way to deal with it before other banks fall? This is pathetic.

Exactly why I never liked any party be in the States, Canada, or Ecuador. I think that the most prepared should rule a nation, not politicians.   Mr Greenspan or Thomas Sowell should be the president in the US.

It is really better than any TV series. The Obama's campaign just shot again itself on the foot. Yes, three times in less than seven days.

They released an add mocking McCain because he doesn't know how to use a computer or email.

They just ommited one little thing.   The man can't type, and consequently cannot use a computer because he was tortured.  His arms and shoulders broken.

This is absolutely sickly.  Really worse than the attacks on Palin.  Sorry to having to recurr to bad words now but they are stupid dumbasses.

They will also lose all the seniors who do not know how to use computers.   I am sure those are sizable ammount of the populaton.

Me again on the same subject. I was investigating. My decision. Obama was talking of Palin wihtout any doubt. Reasons:

a) Fresh fish is slang for a new and inexperienced prostitute. (found this on the slang dictionary)
b) Palin's nickname is "barracuda" which is a big scary fish.
c) Obama mentioned the fish and change. The change in the contest is the new, the only new is Sarah.
d) he covered his face while he said this. Pyschological self defense cause he knew he was starting a landslide, probably on purpose.
d) Earlier in the day a few comments were made on lipstick on Obama's campaign, directly linked ot the pig comment, as we see now.
e) On the same day, Biden said that electing Palin would be a backwards step for women.
f) They have been calling her pork barrel spender for days now. He just took away the barrel and spender parts.

Oh My God, I am so excited! I can't believe McCain had the insight to name this woman as his VP choice! I read so on the cnbc news site.
I have to say she is amazing, a total rolemodel and a politician with principles. I can find absolutely nothing nothing wrong with this woman. In fact, she is so much better than McCain!! (aside from lack of foreign police experience, that is, but then she is far far better than Obama too, given she has an excellent record of polical achievements before and after her tenure as governor!)

I admire completely her prolife stance. She gave birth a baby with Down Syndrome this year and then was back at work three days later. The woman is a lioness.

Ok, need to go on squeeing!!!!!!!!!!!

Reuters.com reported that now McCain leads by 46 to 41 percent.

I am glad to see this, I want Obama to lose. The only problem is that I don't want McCain to win. However did America ended up with these two lousy choices??? Talk about Catch22.

Note: I really really hope Hillary doesn't take up as VP candidate. That would be the end of her political career. I am sure she is smarter than this.

I am in New York city for my vacation. In the last five days I have seen amazing places and things. This is the most amazing city I have ever been to, so beautiful it can make you cry.
